Wanted: A Blood Courtesans Novel by Kristen Strassel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
what a ride this was!
"corynne" was on the run. her powers had done the one thing she really didn't want to happen: it killed a person. but she had no control over it and she only saw one way out of it. become a blood courtesan and convince the vamp to turn her in hopes of her power being more in control.
only things don't go as easy as she thought. not when Nash buys her as his courtesan but acts differently towards her, caring even. even though she can admit it stirs feelings inside of her, her goal can't be forgotten: she wants to become a vampire. at every turn Nash blocks her request, saying she isn't ready, that he knows about her powers and that he'll learn her to control them.
as corynne is negotiating her contract, she wishes one of the girls to be found and two blood courtesans to go with her (hey you have to find friends somewhere). it's finding the friend that will make things dangerous, choices to be made, hearts broken, betrayal...
the road to their shaky HEA isn't without troubles. i can see more happening in their future and i'll add that i may secretly hope we may one day (it never hurts to be optimistic!)
really loved and enjoyed the story. devoured it one sitting of one hour and a half. so not a long read but just enough to escape our own harsh reality. if you enjoyed the other Courtesans books than you will enjoy this just as much!

About Me
- Mokkelke/Tanja
- @ home, behind my computer, Belgium
- I'm a rookie writer enjoying the flow of words sprouting out of my fingers. Sometimes it goes easy, at other times it's a real struggle. I love and crave any kind of feedback, good or bad. I write when I can, but a husband, two kids, 4.2 cats (aging from 15 years to 4 months) do take up most of my time. Yet I found the time to try out something I never thought I was good at. I started writing. I came to love it and enjoy the new friendships I've made with fellow writers I simply adore (well I like the writers, but adore their work *grins*)
