Betting on Bear by Tabitha Conall
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
naya isn't happy about having to go to Vegas to hand over a culprit she managed to track down, but the joy should be sweet to see the look on Brick Hardiman's face when she brought in the man he's been looking for but couldn't find! sweet victory!
only things don't really go as planned. as she wakes up in her motelroom, drenched from head to toe and nobody else, she knows she's in big trouble. it doesn't help that hardiman is practically breaking down her motelroom door.
this is a start of a turbulent ride for both of them. a half nayad and a bear, what a pear they make. but as they find out more about what happened to naya, naya also has to come to terms with the fact the hardiman is acting differently then his usual grumpy self. as the day moves on after finding clue after clue, their feelings hit a boiling point. confessions are made, feelings explained. but with magic and drama going around she can't be sure that anything being said is true.
join naya and brick on their journey to find out the truth about what transpired and their journey to each other. really enjoyed this book, it read easily, had a nice pace to it and i was actually sad when it ended *sniff sniff*
Las Vegas, it's something else.

- I'm a rookie writer enjoying the flow of words sprouting out of my fingers. Sometimes it goes easy, at other times it's a real struggle. I love and crave any kind of feedback, good or bad. I write when I can, but a husband, two kids, 4.2 cats (aging from 15 years to 4 months) do take up most of my time. Yet I found the time to try out something I never thought I was good at. I started writing. I came to love it and enjoy the new friendships I've made with fellow writers I simply adore (well I like the writers, but adore their work *grins*)
