Elise is ready to celebrate her birthday Vegas style, or so her friends want her to. As she gets separated from then she ends up at a magic show and she's being volunteered to be hypnotized. What happens during her "dream-state" is more then she could hope for. That man was sex on a stick and sinful as can be! But he wasn't real.
Maxim knew from the second he saw Elise she was the one, his true mate. But she was also human. How does he get close to her without spooking her? He drags in all the staff in a huge ruse to make her belief she's been hypnotized so he could have a few minutes with her. The attraction between them isn't something he had counted on and it takes a lot of effort on his part to take a step back, knowing if she ever found out he would be in the doghouse for centuries!
When Elise meets him she's more then surprised to find her dream man in front of her, the attraction she felt in her dream very much alive with the specimen of flesh and blood in front of her. But little things were alarming her. How true was Maxim? Was he telling her everything?
Another great addition to the CiV series. loved how these two got together, their attraction. wonderful read to escape our own reality for a bit!
