Detective Bear (Bear Shifter Paranormal Romance) by Scarlett Grove
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
don't know what it is, but i always like scarlett grove's books. this one ain't no different.
Gauge has been investigating the crystal problem for months and he's finally making progress, so much so that he's able to infiltrate them. just as he's about to walk out he gets a message on his phone, he's been matched on mate.com. he knows he can't meet up right now but he also doesn't want to not respond. looking at the pictures of his possible mate has his heart beating double.
lola lockheart has been forced by her stepbrother to cut crystal. she's not to be spoken to, she can't leave and his hands are way too loosely groping her at every chance he gets. her one escape and connection with the outside world is a cellphone she keeps hidden. out of curiosity she reads up on mate.com and even signs up. if he would know about this all she wouldn't last a day! her nightmare comes true when her phone beeps just as her stepbrother is in her tent. she'd been matched.
everything starts going wrong. there is a new guard, one who can't stay away, one who's she's drawn too like a moth to a flame. when the guards tells her who he really is and he's getting her out of there she insists on getting a token from her late mother.
and then the story really gets interesting and the pace picks up as we move to the conclusion of this story.
another wonderful addition to the Bear Patrol series. knowing a few more are coming makes me one happy reader! on pins and needles untill the nest one.

About Me

- I'm a rookie writer enjoying the flow of words sprouting out of my fingers. Sometimes it goes easy, at other times it's a real struggle. I love and crave any kind of feedback, good or bad. I write when I can, but a husband, two kids, 4.2 cats (aging from 15 years to 4 months) do take up most of my time. Yet I found the time to try out something I never thought I was good at. I started writing. I came to love it and enjoy the new friendships I've made with fellow writers I simply adore (well I like the writers, but adore their work *grins*)
