what do you do when a dish, perfectly prepared and flawless, gets sent back every single time? you bite your tongue. at least that is what most would do, not Natalia. she's polite, respectful but what she doesn't do is take crap from a customer about her cooking. if the dish isn't to his liking he can order something else.
logan is surprised that the cook turns out to be a woman. a woman who stands up to him and doesn't cower in his presence. it's refreshing and it's taunting him to be more rude then he'd usually be. much to the amusement of his brothers at the table.
the day after natalia is practically ordered to cook at a mansion, all expenses paid. when she arrives she's more then baffled to find out the man she's cooking for is the same rude one she put in the place the evening before. she knows the restaurant is at stake so she does her best.
he insists that she eats with him and his brothers, making it still a pleasant evening.
when he tells her he actually bought the restaurant and is giving her full reign, she doesn't know what's happening but she takes this opportunity with both hands. it's also a good incentive to put things in order because a lot of shady things are going on that are messing with the inventory and fresh stock of the restaurant.
that's when things start going from worse to bad. luckily logan is there to have her back and what started out as a dislike is quickly turning into something else. whether she can accept it or not is still a big question.
a very satisfying read, no loose ends. it's got a nice pace to the story, well built characters. i hope to read more of the brothers, they're all very different!
