Serenade - The Complete Serial: A vampire romance by Kallysten
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
a complex but interesting read. for a long time she hasn't been able to write any kind of music. but then she hears rachid playing one of her pieces. at first she isn't happy with that because as far as she knows all her music is behind lock and key. yet this man plays one of them, with much emotion and feeling that her anger turns into interest and curiosity. getting to know the human isn't a problem, when rachid lets her know he's aware of who and what she is, it surprises her even more. this is that start of one heated night and also the start of troubled times times. rachid isn't really single and when she learns more about his partner ollie, a vampire like herself, things change. not sure if it's better or worse. olli is obsessed with her music and has quite the collection of her sheet music under her different names.
she knows more is going on but her own mind keeps her from digging deeper. chance encounters, strange requests don't make things easier. when ollie and rachid finally tell her what they want from her she's shocked. the one thing she said not to do anymore is the very thing they're asking of her!
pick up this complete, cliffhanger free set and be swamped with the emotional struggles of two vampires and one human, their internal battles with themselves and each other.

- I'm a rookie writer enjoying the flow of words sprouting out of my fingers. Sometimes it goes easy, at other times it's a real struggle. I love and crave any kind of feedback, good or bad. I write when I can, but a husband, two kids, 4.2 cats (aging from 15 years to 4 months) do take up most of my time. Yet I found the time to try out something I never thought I was good at. I started writing. I came to love it and enjoy the new friendships I've made with fellow writers I simply adore (well I like the writers, but adore their work *grins*)
