Claimed by the Dragons: A Dragon-Shifter Ménage by Cara Wylde
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
this is a stand alone story but it does help if you have read "sold to the alpha" and " the hidden alpha". it helps forming the bigger picture in the red thread story that runs trough the books.
we're introduced to viggo as he steps in the help clan blackmain, but also happens to arrive to buy a bride for his alpha. viggo knows he's made the right choice for his alpha but the worst choice for him. but dragon law is dragon law, a beta can't take a mate before the alpha so he has to wait. years pass with many a visit, and each time viggo realizes the predicament he's put himself in for delyse has rooted herself firmly inside of his own heart.
three years have passed and viggo arrived for a final time, this time to bring delyse to the castle they're living in. as hard as it is for him to stay neutral he picks up very clear signs the delyse may have the same feelings towards him.
if that is so how will she be able to rouse eric from his 700 year long slumber? let alone convince him to stay awake?
delyse feels confused by everything. the feelings that stir inside when she's near viggo are something she never felt before, but she also knows she can't give in to them. that's not what she's here for!
she's here to convince eric she's the perfect bride for him, that he won't lose her to old age and that he'll have more children.
eric is lured towards the frail beauty in his cavern, enough to stay awake and lay claim on her there on the spot. if what she's told him is true it may be worth it to stay awake!
but belief and reality are two different things! there are quite a bit of hoops that need jumping and now they have all the right pawns in al the right places. but even then things aren't going smoothly. delyse is feeling bereft, eric is wonderful when he wants to be but somehow he doesn't fulfill all her needs, needs that viggo picks up on like a natural but can't give to her. she's his alpha's mate, not his!
will there be betrayal or does eric really wake up and makes a good assessment of his situation and the solution for it?
it's a fast paced story that fills in some gaps on how things are moving forwards after the second book ended. the turmoil and emotions in this one were vivid and real, so was the heartache and surprise!
a very good continuations of this series!!

- I'm a rookie writer enjoying the flow of words sprouting out of my fingers. Sometimes it goes easy, at other times it's a real struggle. I love and crave any kind of feedback, good or bad. I write when I can, but a husband, two kids, 4.2 cats (aging from 15 years to 4 months) do take up most of my time. Yet I found the time to try out something I never thought I was good at. I started writing. I came to love it and enjoy the new friendships I've made with fellow writers I simply adore (well I like the writers, but adore their work *grins*)
