third book in the snake eyes series. we've met them both before in both previous books. if you read them you can guess there is a big history between them but we were never told what or why.
in this book we find about all of it!
someone is after boxcar because he knows the location of a certain ex-member of snake eyes, but he's not budging and staying undercover. when they start threatening caleb, his estranged wife, he knows what he has to do. he doesn't like it one bit but 2 years apart should be enough to settle the score!
when they get together that old spark is still there. but the troubles of today are more dire then they are aware of! it involved snake eyes, that speaks for itself!
i love that in this book we go back in time to when both of them meet and evolve together and then back to the present time. it gives a nice insight why they act like they do. you see how they have changed and or coming to realize that what started so many years ago is still there.
