About Me

I'm a rookie writer enjoying the flow of words sprouting out of my fingers. Sometimes it goes easy, at other times it's a real struggle. I love and crave any kind of feedback, good or bad. I write when I can, but a husband, two kids, 4.2 cats (aging from 15 years to 4 months) do take up most of my time. Yet I found the time to try out something I never thought I was good at. I started writing. I came to love it and enjoy the new friendships I've made with fellow writers I simply adore (well I like the writers, but adore their work *grins*)

Writers block or not?

Well, not to be precise, rather the opposite. Every time I sit down and tell myself "Now I'm going to continue with Chris" my mind tends to drift off to plots for the other stories in this series yet to be written. Any got a Valium spare so I can slow down my brain only a little bit?
(coffee won't help much, seems I'm immune to caffeine already)

  1. As part of my 'mental prep', I usually organise a playlist of whatever emotions I need to conjure up. It seems caffeine wires me too tightly. At 3 in the morning, after surfing google for required material my original plan is still blank. But I've got half a dozen other trinkets scattered through out word document! So I know exactly what you mean.

Then again that's the beauty of the technological era. Rather than using erasers and twink, we just cut and paste. Problem is, my demon possessed, anti-heroine, ended up drinking tea atop a skyline in New York, instead of crossing the room to douse the flames - go figure!

I'm glad to see that you have also taken the initiative to establish yourself in a forum outside of Lit. Don't get me wrong, I love that site, it's a palate of vibrant ideas, but sometimes it can feel too impersonal. This way, you can truely explore your craft with like minded people.

Anywho, I wish you all the luck with all and any future endeavours.

    xoxo Jen

  2. thanks jen, happy to see you hear as well.
actually have to thank pepper, it's cause of hre blog i changed things around, i had a yahoo group before, but i didn't like how i had to update things there, felt so impersonal.
this looks more smoother and easier on the eyes.
as for the writing atm my main focus lies with SIW brother number 2 the youngest of the three, Chris.
i have already worked out what wil happen with brother number 3 Ed, the middle one and then i have two more to write to wrap up those "friends" hihi it's all here in the mind.
for one story i will actually get assistance from cedar, june, zouzou and probably a RL friend. a bit of a collaboration so to speak.
As for the lit forums, well, i've been on lit for a few years now(just love to read) only this year i started writing, i like how some can be so open there, it's amusing to read. however i wouldn't "mingle" too much there, not saying they're bad people, far from, but it's not so much my thing.
i prefer getting to know the people that like my stuff and other way around, that how i got in touch with jazcullen, cedar, zouzou, sirreadsalot, schychi, sandman and so on. we have ten times the fun then we would on the lit forum LOL.

  4. Think i'm going to lock myself up with lots of food and water LOL. I've been meaning to write so much this week and i barely managed to pen down a single page...
But i've been creative with another sorry i will be writing once i'm done with the three Whelan brothers. that one is a real challenge, but one i am liking very much already.
